Description
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Project Management & Delivery
  • Project management and delivery in accordance with client scope & requirements.
  • Work closely with the Natural Power Renewable Heat Team site-based team to execute project delivery
  • Management of projects through complete life cycle
  • Regular assessment of reporting project milestones and project plans and ensure all stakeholders are communicated to accordingly
  • Able to make quick decisions and support technical solutions to provide an efficient environment for project implementation and completion
Renewable Heat Operational Support
  • Liaison with both the Owner and Lenders in relation to plant performance reporting and strategy to ensure effective plant management
  • Oversight and monitoring the asset management processes and procedures including liaising with O&M provider and Fuel Supply provider
  • Monitoring regulatory compliance of the site with legislation, permissions and permits
Business Development
  • Supports Operations & Asset Management and specifically Renewable Heat in developing and achieving strategic business plans
  • Actively seek out and develop a network of suppliers and contacts within the industry
General Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
  • Educated to degree level and/or with experience in a relevant discipline (Engineering / Business Management / Manufacturing / Sciences or similar)
  • Previous experience across process engineering or power generation (Biomass, EFW, AD, Renewables)
  • Aptitude to engage in future business development activities
  • Previous experience of Asset Management
  • Proven project management experience with significant emphasis on stakeholder collaboration
  • Highly focused and experienced with process safety & engineering
  • Demonstrable experience of change management 
  • Significant commercial awareness

Desirable: 

  • Project Management qualification (Prince 2 or APM qualifications
  • NEBOSH General Certificate 
  • CDM Regulations (2015) knowledge and/or experience
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Biomass Combustion, Anaerobic Digestion, Thermal Power Generation (Steam), District Heating Networks
  • Experience of Continuous Improvement (6 Sigma or similar)
  • Experience & knowledge of budget creation and management (including Capex & Opex)
  • ISO 55001 experience
