Senior Project Manager

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and execute large-scale construction projects exceeding $50M. This role demands a proactive leader with a deep understanding of project management, construction operations, and strategic execution. The Senior Project Manager will oversee all contractual, financial, and operational aspects of assigned projects while ensuring alignment with company policies, quality standards, and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Establish and implement project objectives, policies, and performance standards in alignment with corporate goals.
2. Oversee construction management, ensuring seamless coordination of field activities, resources, and labor.
3. Drive project execution, upholding the company's standards for quality, safety, and client/subcontractor relations.
4. Build and manage high-performing teams, coordinating with department heads to fill key project roles.
5. Conduct contract reviews post-award to ensure project compliance and strategic alignment.
6. Develop and oversee the implementation of Project Execution Plans and Quality Management Systems.
7. Approve and enforce QA/QC procedures, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
8. Act as the primary liaison for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and A/E contracts, maintaining strong relationships.
9. Monitor and control project progress through administrative oversight of construction operations, ensuring safety, budget, and schedule compliance.
10. Represent the company in client, subcontractor, and vendor meetings, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
11. Lead project planning and progress meetings, ensuring teams remain focused on objectives.
12. Submit detailed progress reports in accordance with contractual obligations.
13. Identify and mitigate risks to maintain project performance and corporate objectives.
14. Provide oversight for project scheduling, working with site managers to meet all construction and contractual deadlines.
15. Maintain expert knowledge of project plans, specifications, schedules, and budgets, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
16. Implement motivational and performance management strategies to drive team efficiency, including reward and accountability measures.
17. Provide regular status updates to executive leadership, coordinating input from project teams.
18. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by executive leadership.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Project Director.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or business (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
• Experience: Minimum 15 years in construction project management, with a proven track record in large-scale projects.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to drive performance and accountability.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate and industry practices, including contract administration, compliance, and risk management.
• Expertise in construction disciplines, union agreements, cost control, scheduling, and safety regulations.
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills to optimize project profitability and execution.
