Job Title: Project Accountant - Major Infrastructure Project
Location: London
Contract Type: Full-Time

ERSG are seeking an experienced accountant to work on a major infrastructure project for one of our established clients. This £230 million project plays a critical role in enhancing the UK's electricity network, and you'll be a key part of the commercial team, helping to manage financial operations and support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Commercial Manager and Quantity Surveyors with financial reporting and analysis.
Process and review payments for labour, agency staff, plant hire, and subcontractors.
Validate invoices and supporting documentation, including material delivery and tipping dockets.
Maintain and update cost control systems, ensuring data accuracy across the project.
Track and reconcile project expenditure against budgets, highlighting variances.

Ideal Candidate:

Background in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, with experience in the construction or infrastructure sector preferred. Tunnelling will be highly advantageous
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with project cost control processes.
Experience working with document control or finance platforms (e.g. Asite, SAP, Oracle).
Excellent attention to detail and time management.
Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset.
