A Major Wind Energy Developer is lookig for a talented engineer with strong knowledge of wind turbine installations and comissioning to provide specialist support for their Direct Drive turbines across Japan.
Role and Responsibilities
- Train and advise external installation subcontractors/customers on installation methods and equipment.
- Manage regional field demands and collect lessons learned or improvements from project sites.
- Be a key specialist for Direct Drive technology and guide the development of technical installation solutions.
- Read schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
- Ensure timely and budget-friendly availability of Technical Documentation, Tools, and Materials for Construction projects
- Support regional wind turbine retrofit activities.
- Collaborate with technical support for proactive repairs.
- Supply technical documentation and engineering studies for project execution.
- Support the optimization of Crane and Wind turbine Lifting Plans.
- Present and train personnel on technical and installation documentation.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years senior level experience of wind turbine installations and comissioning.
- Strong and demonstrable technical knowledge of direct drive systems.
- Business level fluency in English.
- Good communication skills with a safety first mindset.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
- Business level fluency in Japanese.
- Valid GWOs.
- WTG service related certifications.
