The key aims of the role are to: - Conduct and, when applicable, lead environmental engineering studies, including managing sub-contracted scopes of work in support of Renewables and Conventional and New Energies projects
- Provide input and support to Duty Holder Operations, e.g. environmental considerations, OPRED inspections, permits and reporting
- Provide input and support to bids/tenders/proposals and ensure timely achievement of environmental engineering related project deliverables and operations scopes.

Responsibilities include: - Perform and document environmental studies & analyses in support of project and/or consultancy scopes of work
- Coordination of, and ensuring compliance against, environmentally specific regulatory submissions, plans etc., as required by Duty Holder (SCR2015) I Pipeline Operator (PSR1998)
- Management, review and updates of environmental permits (OCR, OPPC, marine licence, OPEPs etc.)
- Review and periodic update of environmental elements of Management systems, CMAPP and coordination of IS014001 accreditation and environmental support to other audits and BMS reviews
- Identifying opportunities for provision of Environmental support, tenders and planning
- Facilitate environmental related workshops e.g. ENVID
- Under guidance of Manager / Proposal Manager / Project Manager, prepare and plan CTRs ensuring all requirements in place to provide fit for purpose deliverables to time and cost
- Within bounds set by Manager I Project Manager, liaise with clients directly to assure client requirements are being captured within the CTR and then are being met
- Support to Duty Holder Operations Incident / Crisis Management teams when incident has environmental impact
- Train I provide knowledge sharing within department I organisation
| Competencies and skills shall include: - Multi-tasking with ability to self-manage workloads and workloads of others to meet agreed timescales for delivery
- Good working knowledge of applicable environmental regulations, codes of practice, standards and internal procedures
- Perform detailed studies and analyses with no supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong report writing
- Able to present cohesive arguments with attention to detail potentially whilst under pressure, e.g. during client meetings
- Awareness of applicable developing environmental engineering technology and assessment techniques/methodologies
Qualifications: | · Bachelor or Master's Degree in Engineering, Environmental studies, Science or Mathematics (if latter two then post-graduate studies in relevant environmental field are normally required) · Chartered Engineer and/or Chartered Environmentalist and/or Chartered Scientist with recognised institute. |
