Senior Structural Engineer - Temporary Works / Utilities (Permanent)

Location: North West England | Full-time | Permanent

We're looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to lead temporary works and pipeline design for high-profile utility projects. If you're passionate about engineering, enjoy mentoring junior staff, and want to work on major UK gas infrastructure projects, this role is for you.

What you'll do:

  • Lead design and review of 2D/3D drawings and structural calculations

  • Oversee temporary works: pipe supports, trench boxes, ditch crossings, flumes, sheet-piled excavations

  • Guide junior engineers and CAD teams, providing technical leadership

  • Ensure compliance with BS, EN, Eurocodes, and CDM 2015

  • Support innovation, BIM, and digital construction methods

You'll need:

  • BEng/MEng in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering

  • Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE, IStructE, IMechE)

  • 6-8+ years in civil infrastructure / pipeline design

  • Strong knowledge of permanent & temporary works, BS 5975, Eurocodes

  • Excellent communicator and team leader
