About the role
We're looking for a CAD Technician to join our team in Newcastle, UK. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the UK Engineering Manager in delivering integrated engineering consultancy services to our clients
  • Working closely with the Engineering teams from across the Cathie Group to deliver the full range of services that we offer
  • Delivering technical solutions throughout the development cycle for upcoming Offshore Wind farm projects
  • Implementing the policies, practices, and culture of the Cathie Group.



About you
You will be an enthusiastic, organised, and talented professional who takes ownership of challenges and solutions. You will have:

Requirements:

  • Excellent technical knowledge of Onshore and Offshore rigid pipeline / cable routing design and good understanding of structures such as Manifolds, UTAs, SDUs, X-Tree's
  • Experience in marine projects, especially Offshore Wind Cable routing, Foundations Jackets, Junction Boxes
  • To be familiar with subsea field architecture
  • To be able to produce 2D and 3D Drawings
  • Pipeline Field Layouts, Approach Drawings, Alignment Sheets, Route Maps, Tie-In Spools, Crossings, General arrangement layouts and Structure related drawings
  • Naval design or lifting/rigging experience desirable but not essential


Qualification:

  • Inventor, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, 3ds Max, and ArcGIS (including Enterprise Portal development) To be able to produce 2D and 3D Drawings
  • Pipeline Field Layouts, Approach Drawings, Alignment Sheets, Route Maps, Tie-In Spools, Crossings, General arrangement layouts and Structure related drawings



Duration: 3 to 6 months - there's potential for an extension
Daily rate: £300/day - via Umbrella company
Location Fully remote working from home. HQ in Newcastle
