About the role
We're looking for a CAD Technician to join our team in Newcastle, UK. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the UK Engineering Manager in delivering integrated engineering consultancy services to our clients
- Working closely with the Engineering teams from across the Cathie Group to deliver the full range of services that we offer
- Delivering technical solutions throughout the development cycle for upcoming Offshore Wind farm projects
- Implementing the policies, practices, and culture of the Cathie Group.

You will be an enthusiastic, organised, and talented professional who takes ownership of challenges and solutions. You will have:
Requirements:
- Excellent technical knowledge of Onshore and Offshore rigid pipeline / cable routing design and good understanding of structures such as Manifolds, UTAs, SDUs, X-Tree's
- Experience in marine projects, especially Offshore Wind Cable routing, Foundations Jackets, Junction Boxes
- To be familiar with subsea field architecture
- To be able to produce 2D and 3D Drawings
- Pipeline Field Layouts, Approach Drawings, Alignment Sheets, Route Maps, Tie-In Spools, Crossings, General arrangement layouts and Structure related drawings
- Naval design or lifting/rigging experience desirable but not essential
Qualification:
- Inventor, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, 3ds Max, and ArcGIS (including Enterprise Portal development) To be able to produce 2D and 3D Drawings
- Pipeline Field Layouts, Approach Drawings, Alignment Sheets, Route Maps, Tie-In Spools, Crossings, General arrangement layouts and Structure related drawings
Duration: 3 to 6 months - there's potential for an extension
Daily rate: £300/day - via Umbrella company
Location Fully remote working from home. HQ in Newcastle
