Large Construction Project

Role/Requirements:

  • Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics
  • Supervision + management of project safety team
  • Provide advice, strategies and problem solving to project personnel on all health and safety issues to achieve the goal of 'nobody gets hurt' during the project
  • Promote a culture in where health and safety is a value that will never be compromised
  • Together with project and construction management, develop and implement the project health and safety policy, safety management plan and standards
  • Ensure the delivery and rollout of Pre Task Plans (PTP) and Construction Safety Leadership Program (CSLP) on the project
  • Provide assistance in all subcontractor prestart meetings in relation to health and safety requirements and minimum performance requirements
  • Review and approve contractor's safety management plans/RAMS and safe operating procedures before work commences
  • Compile project specific health and safety set up documentation aligned with the company standards
  • Ensure the implementation and support of behavior based health and safety
  • Measure implementation of corrective actions from incident investigations
  • Develop, implement and coordinate incident reporting, analysis and statistical returns for the project
  • Coordinate and submit project weekly health and safety leading indicator and information reports
  • Prepare, implement and review project emergency response plans
  • Measure compliance with project rules, safety management plans and health and safety procedures
  • Ensure performance, assessment, training and development for JEG project health and safety staff
  • Relevant 3rd Level Qualification.
  • 5+ years' experience as an EHS Lead/Manager in a safety, construction or engineering environment
  • Understanding of the challenges of working on a large-scale project
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • A high level of organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously within a team environment
  • Manual Handling /Working At Height Instructor
