Responsibilities

* Manage utility grid connections and applications such as load projections, application reviews, commercial budgets of connection cost

* Support the Design and Development teams to work with utilities during planning and construction stages (plan meetings, project updates, technical clarifications etc)

* Run energy procurement projects (including choice of energy supplier, tariff optimisation, market price analysis, demand response)

* Develop renewable energy sourcing options and other sustainability initiatives in alignment with customer requirements

* Build and manage positive relationships with utilities, retailers, technical consultants and other energy partners

* Regional coverage may include other regional areas including South Korea, Taiwan in the future

* Engage with grid companies, utilities and energy retailers and attend project meetings

* Liaise with our customers to identify and meet energy requirements

* Collaborate with our Design, Site Selection and Operation teams on energy needs

* Craft and present summary reports and progress updates

Responsibilities

* 4+ years of proven experience in areas of grid power planning, energy project development, energy consulting, energy networks, energy supply, energy procurement

* Fluent in both English and Japanese (N1 level)

* Strong understanding of the utility and electricity market in Japan

* Commercial, business and energy market understanding

* Foundational level of electrical infrastructure (sub-station, internal distribution, UPS and generators etc) is desired, however, an engineering background is not crucial

* Strong analytical thinking and comfortable with data analysis and presentation (especially in PowerPoint and Excel)

* High level of motivation to learn and grow in the role
