The main purpose of this role is to support the development team to ensure the quality and optimization of the engineering of the projects developed (including Layout, components and Yield) and that the costs of the projects are accurate enough to ensure their profitability. Key Accountabilities * Challenge and Optimise the design for new renewable projects (Wind farm and PV Plants) provided by our partners (Developers, engineering companies, etc.). * Optimise criteria for evaluation of turbine and Balance of Plant technology and suppliers. * Develop a first estimation on CAPEX of the proposed projects and, if possible, suggest improvements on the different elements (trackers, modules, inverters, WTG, electrical equipment). * Be updated on the state of arts of the different main components of the Renewable Projects * Manage the relationships with the technical advisors to be hired to perform de different works required to successfully develop a project. * Technical and economic evaluation (CAPEX) of the projects for M&A processes, including analysis of planning, technical scope, costs and associated risks. * Participation in technical clarification meetings with suppliers. * Develop operational strategies for battery storage, solar, and hydrogen technologies ensuring that, as these assets become part of the portfolio mix. Suggest possibilities of hybridization on the different projects of the pipeline * Continuously monitors and evaluates supply chain risk through liaison with Turbine/modules/trackers/inverters, OEM's in particular, to understand their design specification and technology, sub suppliers, serial or type defects and failure rates. * Develop reports to help the decision process in M&A processes, Due Diligences, Co-development agreements, to identify risks and suggest mitigation measurements for those * Once the projects are developed, assist in the negotiation of the EPC contracts by contributing with his in-depth technical knowledge of the projects
