Principle Naval Architect

Want to work for a specialist in Naval Architecture? Want to lead and coach a team of specialist? Increasing the quality and working methods of the naval architecture team/?

Your responsibility will be focused on coaching, quality and technical content of the department and the Naval Architects in the department.

What will you be responsible for:

• Leading, coaching, inspiring a team of Naval Architects
• Acting as a collaborating foreman and contributing your extensive experience and technical expertise in the field of Naval Architecture to the projects.
• Monitor shipbuilding integrity and consistency across all projects.
• Research, transfer and implement innovations in the market;
• The team is focused on weight & stability control, inclination test, hydrodynamics & hull shape optimization, propulsion, comfort, maneuvering and noise & vibrations.

To be successful, you will need a mix of the following:

• Experienced Naval Architect in a project-driven organization within ship or yacht building (preference for experience with new construction / fully custom projects).
• Dutch and English language, spoken and written.
• Demonstrable good coaching and communication skills.
• Very strong professionally, with extensive knowledge in the field of Naval Architecture, safety and regulations for yacht building.
