Role Summary:

As a PDE Quality owner you will be responsible of Review drawings, FTY: follow up and improve in the team and If need, you will be responsible of the 3D models and 2D drawings creation within the appointed tower components.

Drive tower PDE projects to completion with excellence; quality and on time delivery.

Communication to the team of all new improvements in processes, methods and tools. Leverage the change and track it on the initial phase.

You will partner with the Lead design engineer to develop the most powerful Wind turbine in the current offshore market.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Create definition of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 3D CAD models in a linked model environment, tolerance stack-ups, within expected cost, quality and schedule
    · Ensure all interfaces between components are established and agreed upon by Engineering design teams of mating parts and engine systems
    · Work within the guidelines of applicable Policies & Procedures, Engineering Standards, Specifications, Commercial Standards, best practices and special safety requirements
    · Initiate, populate and manage the BOM (Bill of Materials) working closely with the procurement and manufacturing teams
    · Continuously challenges self and team skills in functional area. Stays current with industry developments in one's field of expertise
    · Explore and advance CAD, CAE and CAM capabilities to improve current processes. Benchmark and leverage other GE business's success in CAD, CAE and CAM
    · Support and coordinate with interfacing teams located in different countries within the organization
  • As a plus, perform analytical mechanical calculations

Qualifications/Requirements:

. Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or related discipline or equivalent knowledge or experience. Professional formation would be acceptable by providing successful experience record
· Experience in modelling using 3D/2D CAD tools
· Fluent in English (spoken and written)
· EU Work Permit

Desired Characteristics:

. Experience using NX/Autocad
· Experience in wind turbine business
· Experience using PLM (Enovia is preferred)
· Strong interpersonal skills including: ownership, self-motivated, problem solving, analytical, team player, communication skills and ability to develop relationships
· Strong attention to detail
· Manufacturing process knowledge
