JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Responsibilities, tasks and authorities

  • Execute warehouse operations at assigned warehouse(s)
  • Execute day to day operational warehouse process from the start phase to finalization in compliance with the govern rules including the QHSE aspects, encompassing amongst others;
  • Assists with loading and off-loading of client equipment with a forklift onto/from trucks and vessels
  • Checks deliveries on correctness of number/pieces against freight letter/manifest and reports status, CMR and customs documents
  • Checks deliveries on possible damages and if applicable separates these and reports this to your supervisor
  • Records in and outgoing shipments in the warehouse management system (Portaal, and Gateway)
  • Upon arrival and departure of goods/cargo take the appropriate pictures and ensure that this information is uploaded into the warehouse management system, secondly inform your supervisor in case of issues such as when damages have been noted and are visible. Raise Non conformity accordingly
  • Maintain location facilities in line with Management System requirements
  • Carry out small maintenance jobs and routing checks of the warehouse equipment including forklifts and reports maintenance records
  • Keep forklift and company cars clean and tidy, for company car fill in routing logbook for every trip
  • Ensures that you work in a safe and healthy way, amongst others using PPE (see Personnel handbook and Arbo handbook) as and when required, various jobs require different PPE, keep your working area clean and tidy
  • You are responsible for your own safety, discuss and report unsafe acts and behavior
  • Report to, and consult with, his/her supervisor at regular basis on status, progress and planning and immediately in case of doubts and issues and as/if appropriate
  • When equipment and/or tools are not working properly report this to your supervisor and stop the job and re-access
  • Create proper handover for your colleague(s) prior to go on leave and/or for Duty schedule as well as unfinished business
  • You have the responsibility to ensure that your training certificates, as well as other licenses and I.D. are valid for the job
  • Non routine jobs are jobs which are not frequently performed, you have the responsibility to use Risk assessment and/or Job safety analysis to check all the steps which are taken to complete this job safely
  • Maintain a proper housekeeping of the company warehouse, offices considering also environmental aspects in case spillages and /or loose items
  • Various clients have additional safety rules, policies and working instruction, make sure that these are understood and followed when operating for those clients
  • Operates in a duty roster after office schedule
  • Have to responsibility to ensure that all relevant documents are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensures that correct procedures are used and followed, report change immediately to supervisor
  • Functions in accordance with the company Management System

Profile

  • Organizational and team working skills
  • Flexible, no 8 to 17 mentality. Occasional travelling/assignment to other DHSS work locations
  • Able to speak and write basic English and Dutch
  • Basic understanding of productivity software basics, such as Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • VMBO-level as a minimum
  • Basic experience in the warehousing and logistics

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS The valid/required certification for this job is defined in line with the Human Resource Management procedure
