Vestas first opened their Colorado factory in 2007, cementing their presence within the local community. In July 2023, Vestas announced a $40 million investment to manufacture its newest turbine, the V163-4.5 MW, in its Blades Factory in Windsor and Nacelles Factory in Brighton. The Blades Factory manufactures V163-4.5 MW turbines and will continue to support the production of Vestas’s 2 MW platform.
