A major energy infrastructure client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver a large-scale hydro power plant overhaul, with direct responsibility for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) interfaces and delivery.

This role requires hands-on experience across both hydro generation assets and BESS projects and full ownership of delivery from early planning through execution and handover.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-end delivery of a hydro power plant overhaul with BESS integration
Single point of accountability for safety, programme, cost, risk, and contractors
Define technical scope across hydro mechanical/electrical systems and BESS
Lead procurement, tender evaluation, and contractor management
Coordinate closely with operations, engineering, and specialist storage providers
Drive safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery through to handover

The role is a hybrid position, with 2-3 days a week in their London offices, as this is a relatively new part of their business, my client is looking ideally for someone with a strong background in EPC Contractor sales. The successful candidate will have experience of business development at a Tier-one Solar EPC Contractor, and be able to demonstrate the ability to progress through to completion in the sales cycle.The role is a hybrid position, being based in the client's London offices for 2-3 days per week.
