Job Purpose

The HSE Manager is responsible for ensuring that the EPC Project HSE Management policy, plans and procedures are implemented effectively regarding all applicable HSSE legal obligations.

Implementation of the HSE Policy

  • Ensure the HSSE and security management plan for accident/incident prevention on the site.
  • Review and approve of EPC Plan for the site HSE and security management programs
  • Ensure EPC Plan for the site HSE and security management programs.
  • Ensure EPC and subcontractors establish and maintain a Permit to Work System
  • Ensure EPC complies with all contractual requirements (ex: SESIA, PPA, MFS, CSR)

HSE Monitoring on site

  • Perform the site HSE and security management programs (audits) and recommend actions (corrective and / or preventive).
  • Ensure the compliance of processes, tools and systems in relation to HSE regulatory requirements on site.
  • Perform HSE Assessments on EPC and EPC Subcontractors.
  • Review EPC-Contractor's HSE-Plan and procedures.

Reporting

  • Report the performance status of Project HSE and relevant issues to the CEO, the Project Director and to the Site Manager and Commissioning Managers and define action plans to improve the performance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environment, Occupational Safety & Health and/or Engineering from a recognized institute
  • A current relevant health, safety and Security qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma/IOSH/CSP Certificate or equivalent)

Preferred experience

  • 6-8 year's experience in roles in HSE Management System
  • Experience of managing HSE on large-scale construction
  • Experience in engineering field (civil, structure, mechanical, electrical, commissioning)
