Our Team
Our Award Winning Planning and Environment Department is growing again! The Planning & Environment department is made up of a diverse range of planning and environmental practitioners with considerable technical experience and expertise. We are looking to recruit a Senior Planning and Environment Consultant into our office in Inverness. We are a forward thinking, collaborative and open team who encourages individuals to maximise their potential.  Through these mechanisms we enable individuals to contribute towards the success and targets required of the department. 

Duties and Responsibilities include:
·         Take responsibility for the on-time, on-quality and on-budget delivery of projects assigned to you and staff under your supervision
·         Be responsible for the specific co-ordination and delivery of the following project phases as required:
        - Feasibility, EIA/ES, Application submission, Consent Management, Condition Discharge and Due Diligence
·         Manage, mentor and support the personal development of junior members of the Planning & Development team as requested by Principal Project Managers
General Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Quality: All employees are expected to work within the systems, processes and procedures outlined within the department and / or company handbooks or software platforms or training manuals
·         Flexibility: A reasonable degree of flexibility is required from all employees to meet the needs of the role, the department and the wider company
Qualifications and Experience
Essential: 
·         Educated to degree in a relevant discipline
·         Excellent communicator with the ability to provide clear and concise instructions
·         Demonstrate financial awareness and acumen
·         Adopt a flexible approach to be able to manage tasks concurrently, and to be able to handle short notice pieces of work
·         Have a good interpersonal manner to effectively manage relationships with clients,  colleagues and consultees
·         Be proactive and motivated to participate and promote department growth
·         Show initiative to solve problems and provide innovative ideas
·         Possess excellent team working skills and have the ability to motivate individuals and teams

Desirable: 
·         Professionally qualified in a relevant discipline
·         Experience of renewable energy and/or other infrastructure projects
·         Understanding of Planning and Environmental Impact Assessment processes
·         Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, attending public and other evening meetings
·         Occasional lone working and undertaking site visits in remote locations
