A global web services company is looking for a chief building engineer to safely manage and maintain their global client's high tech IT equipment.

You will be responsible for the safe, effective, and reliable operation, maintenance, and modification of the facility's infrastructure, systems, and equipment. This requires strong maintenance and troubleshooting experience gained from working in a demanding environment.

Key Responsibilties

  • Supervising 24 hour shift technicians, including management of priorities, shift staffing, recruiting, and training.
  • Oversight of the overall operation, maintenance and modification of all engineering environment & building systems.
  • Perform engineering management function including development of facility R&M budgets, contract oversight and vendor management, client interface and satisfaction and overall facility performance.
  • Implement, administer and manage the safety training program.
  • Oversight for the development of an annual maintenance and capital plans.
  • Ensure timely financial reporting, submission of variable spend for approval, supplier invoice processing, monthly performance management, management reporting and HSE reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven work experience of working in Japanese and English.
  • Engineering qualification Electrical or Mechanical - essential.
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in leading a team of maintenance technicians within a corporate account.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong HSE awareness and proactive mindset.
  • Good knowledge of finance processes.
