ERSG is currently looking for an Execution Compliance Coordinator for a large offshore wind developer, who has multiple projects already confirmed along the east coast.
Things to keep in mind:
- This is initially a 2-3-year contract with the likelihood of staying on longer-term or becoming a direct employee.

Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Execution Compliance Coordinator to support the company's construction of the New England Wind 1 offshore wind project.
The Execution Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining and enforcing compliance items during construction, installation, and post-construction permit closeout for the Onshore Package. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental compliance programs and best management practices, including activities related to environmental permitting and regulatory compliance for utility-scale transmission or other comparable construction projects. While this position is office-based in Boston, Massachusetts, the Execution Compliance Coordinator will be expected to maintain a significant presence in and around Barnstable, Massachusetts, prior to and during construction. This position offers the opportunity for full-time employment with our client.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Onshore Package point of contact (internal and external) for compliance prior to and during project construction.
- Collaborate with the Execution Compliance Manager, permitting, environmental, and other compliance team members to conduct weekly compliance meetings, coordinate and review contractor submittals, and ensure ongoing compliance tasks are up to date.
- Provide updates as necessary and appropriate to external/Town stakeholders regarding the status of compliance with relevant permit and approval requirements.
- Identify potential areas of concern during planning meetings and on-site presence at the project site. Work with the package team and contractors to resolve issues and escalate concerns that require additional support.
- Manage monitoring and reporting obligations to local, state, and federal agencies.
- Assist package engineers in understanding permitting and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and track package-specific permit compliance and documentation.
- Ensure required plans and reports are developed, finalized, and reviewed for agency submission.
- Collect, manage, and perform quality assurance/quality control on data during construction/installation as required for agency reporting.
- Ensure the compliance register and the Environmental Management Information System (EMIS) are updated, with required information from the package delivered in a timely manner.
- Support corporate environmental, health, and safety initiatives.
- Ensure timely corporate reporting of compliance metrics and monitor trends.
- Attend construction and team meetings to monitor schedule development and identify required permitting and compliance actions ahead of planned activities.
- Participate in site safety and compliance walkthroughs and conduct inspections required to demonstrate environmental permit compliance.
- Conduct timely and accurate environmental compliance event reporting as needed and manage timely follow-up to ensure any remedial actions are implemented.
- Ensure clear, concise, and timely communication of all project plan adjustments and project schedules to the compliance team.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Degree in environmental studies/science, engineering, or a related field from an accredited program, or relevant professional experience.
- 2-5 years or more of experience in environmental compliance, preferably in the offshore construction industry (knowledge of offshore wind is desirable).
- Understanding of NPDES Construction General Permit requirements and best management practices.
- Relevant experience in environmental auditing is desired.
- Experience with environmental, health, and safety management on large construction projects preferred.
- Experience working with teams involved in large projects is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proactive and diligent approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and responsiveness to change.
