Role
The Site fabrication Manager will lead the Employers site team
The Employer site team will exist of a QA Manager, Fabrication QA inspector, Coating Inspector and (local) Expediting/Reporting Engineer(s) and other Specialists/ Inspectors as required.

The Site Fabrication Manager to be responsible that the Employers site team shall actively monitor the fabrication scope to be fabricated, inspected, tested, measured and documented in accordance to contract, the program, milestones, the owner's requirements and relevant regulations. A permanent record of all developments, deviations and changes at the site shall be maintained and be reported.

The Site Fabrication Manager and the team will participate in audits, progress meetings, inspection meetings and all other relevant meetings and will support the Fabrication Manager and Quality Manager in case of Technical Queries, Expert Advice, Changes, Commercial issues and any other relevant issues and discussions.

Special attention will be paid to the HSE-culture and HSE-management and to the major interfaces (flanges, connection between upper and lower jacket and suction caissons, electrical scope).

Responsibilities
  • Leading and motivate the Employers site team
  • Measure and report fabrication performance
  • Identify and report risks and potential issues
  • Support the UK-based Fabrication Manager and Quality Manager in case of Technical Queries, Expert Advice, Changes, Commercial issues and any other relevant issues and discussions.
  • Manage the relationship with the EPCI contractor, the fabricator and all stakeholders
  • Support and monitor the EPCI contractor's fabrication inspection team to ensure that all ITP intervention points are being adhered to and the Employers Requirements are being respected
  • Participate with the Employers Site Team in technical meetings, toolbox meetings, safety meetings (risk assessments, HAZOP's, HAZID's, SIMOPS's, etc) with both the EPCI Contractor & Fabrication Contractor
  • Follow-up on fabrication issues with the Project Team, the EPCI Contractor & the Fabrication Contractor.
  • Review of EPCI Contractors/Fabrication Contractors progress, quality, fabrication reports
  • Participation in Fabrication Contractors/sub-contractors Material Record Books (As-Built documentation) Reviews and Completeness Checks.
  • Participate with the Employers site team in any testing and verification walk downs prior to Load out
  • Follow-up with the Employers site team on the results of testing and verification walk downs ensuring that any snag items are closed prior to load-out
  • Review and comment plans/drawings/specifications/methods

  • Strong knowledge of welding, offshore coating, steel structures

  • Working at Heights Certification
  • Fluent in English
  • Good knowledge of Employers responsibility and role regarding an EPCI contract
  • Proven successes in relevant projects in offshore environments are mandatory.
