Principal Engineer - HV Cable Design
You will be responsible for both leading and designing new cable installations, taking into account all factors impacting the design and selection of the cable. You must have a detailed understanding of the requirements for designing HV cable installations and be an experienced user of CYMCAP or other relevant specialist software
- Previous experience with consultancy, contractor or utility in the energy sector.
- Extensive experience (app. 5-10 years) in a cable related role supporting FEED design and/or detailed design.
- Able to manage and lead HV/EHV cable designs at all projects stages.
- Experienced user of CYMCAP to support cable system design
- Experience of working at EHV transmission voltages
- Experience in the design of HV and EHV cable systems, for both HVAC and HVDC systems.
