Senior Azure Design Engineer to work with Cloud Architecture to develop standards, templates and automation for end to end Infrastructure as Code deployments. This role will also involve managing stakeholders, managing day to day workload and triaging / progressing escalations. This will include a degree of management of the existing experienced cloud engineering team.

The right candidate will have extensive IT experience in many disciplines and progressed into leadership / team management but still using hands-on skills every week, including workload management, BAU troubleshooting and working with project managers to scope requirements. A good IT all-rounder!

Required skills include
* Stakeholder management, Project scoping, gathering requirements, discussing solutions
* Team management, scheduling and prioritisation, managing escalations, technical discussions and escalations
* Service Design based on FR / NFR by consuming approved patterns
* Excellent Powershell scripting
* Terraform experience with detailed knowledge of (but not limited to) the AzureRM provider
* Azure Devops boards, GIT repositories / GIT management
* Enterprise cloud management
* Knowledge and experience of implementing Security standards (CIS / NIST) using automation
* General creative automation to solve problems

Desirable skills
* Azure - Experience of PaaS components (API Management Gateway / App Gateway / Azure Firewall / CosmosDB / SQLDB / SQLMI, etc.)
* Windows / Linux build / configuration
* Private network integration
* Azure Architecture / Design
