The wind TA will provide technical support for wind energy project Technical Due Diligence processes, and perform various activities such as general technical advisory services, construction monitoring, engineering design, and verification of grid code compliance.

Key responsibilitites:

  • Conducting wind analysis, Environmental Yield Analysis (EYA), and site suitability analysis to assess the performance of wind power plants both before and after construction.
  • Conducting on-site inspections and surveys of renewable energy power plants for electricity production.
  • Providing technical consultancy services in the wind energy sector and renewable sources.
  • Monitoring the construction and operation of wind energy projects

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Extensive familiarity with the local technical market; strong knowledge of wind energy technology;
  • Proficiency in measurement campaign procedures and technology
  • Advanced understanding of wind data analysis, Long Term Assessment, Wind Modeling, and statistical analysis
  • Strong expertise in Plant Performance Losses Assessment and Uncertainty analysis for EYA analysis
  • Experience in Construction and Performance Monitoring of Wind Power Plants
  • Experience in conducting pre-construction and post-construction Technical Due Diligence for wind and PV projects, including Permitting Assessment, Engineering Assessment, Wind Turbine Technology Review, Contracts Review and Assessment, CAPEX, and FM inputs review
  • Language Skills: Japanese business level and above, English: TOEIC 800+, C1 level or equivalent.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

  • Proficiency in technical analysis tools such as WASP, WindSim, Windographer, WindPro, etc.
  • Knowledge of mesoscale modeling and WRF software is a plus
  • Proficiency in mathematical and statistical calculation programs like Matlab
  • Strong proficiency in Office, WAsP, WindPRO, Windfarmer, CFD
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages
