​I have been looking to get a foot in the door of wind energy for well over a year. I have 25 years in oil/gas and cabling industry. I was ready to make a change in my life. I have had offshore friends tell me ERSG was the way in. By chance, I was on a cable rep job and Chris contacted me for possible future works in the upcoming Offshore Wind Farm works. I normally work through many different agencies. I am not loyal to anyone specific and although have been asked to be loyal many times by other agencies, I do not like to sign up to just one. Some agencies want you to sign paperwork to say you are loyal, legally locking you in, but I have learned over the years this doesn’t not work to my benefit. When Chris contacted me and we talked, he filled me with confidence and said he would fight for me to be a Wind Energy Rep. He didn’t ask me to sign anything, he didn’t ask for anything other than my trust in him to find me something. I began contracting for ersg in May 2018 and am currently still working on the same project as a cable client rep on the Hohe See project in the German North Sea. I have an excellent relationship with all my contacts from ersg, both front office and support teams. From initial contact to arriving on site, ersg were in regular contact with me and ensured I was fully compliant and provided me with all my required PPE.
