Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to join our team. The primary responsibility will be to issue as-built drawings, taking into account client comments and ensuring that on-site works comply with red-marked drawings. The ideal candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit 3D modeling software, capable of verifying and implementing design modifications on site as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- As-Built Drawings: Prepare and issue as-built mechanical drawings, incorporating any modifications or comments provided by the client.
- Design Verification: Conduct on-site inspections to verify that mechanical installations are in compliance with the red-marked drawings and specifications.
- Client Coordination: Liaise with clients and project teams to ensure accurate integration of feedback into design updates.
- CAD Modeling: Develop and update mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and 3D models in Revit.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain and update all related technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and construction teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality Control: Ensure all designs and modifications meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Problem-Solving: Identify potential design issues during site visits and propose practical solutions.
Key Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, particularly in the construction or engineering sector.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for 3D modeling is essential.
- Knowledge of building mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes.
- Site Experience: Experience in conducting on-site inspections and verifying mechanical installations.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on detail, ensuring all as-built drawings are accurate and complete.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, engineers, and site teams.
- Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying and resolving design issues on-site promptly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with BIM (Building Information Modeling).
- Knowledge of construction project workflows and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
Work Environment:
This position may require periodic on-site inspections, which may include working in varying construction site conditions.
