Role Specific Duties: The current job role will cover a selection of the following technical tasks within Red7Marine, under the guidance of the engineering manager, and the wider marine expertise within the business:
To Perform and be responsible for structural analysis tasks using current company's software. Any required software package can be provided.
Perform, manage, and deliver detailed design calculations in accordance with company's current requirements and the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations (Eurocode, DNV GL, API, AISC, EC and Norsok).
Prepare high quality technical design reports to be submitted to either a client or a third party for review and approval.
Enhancing the company's ability to win jobs through bespoke and efficient temporary work solutions.
Review/comment and approve structural drawings for steel structures.
Identify technical problems and make the necessary technical decisions within the limitations imposed by contractual requirements.
Review technical specifications of vessels and approve recommendations for vessels to be used to execute the transportation, installation, or decommissioning activities.
Technical support (concepts, evaluation & analysis) for on-going project requirements incl., sequencing, contractual, structural and geotechnical issues which are reviewed by line managers;
Attend, and contribute to, various meetings aimed at assisting in tender/project development;
Various Front End Engineering Design, working to applicable industry codes, standards & regulations for temporary works and health and safety assessments;
Scoping ('high level') calculations for the above (structural & geotechnical and quantity calculations for pricing purposes);
Production of various drawings (2D & 3D). These could include sequence diagrams, deck plans and design drawings in support of project work, using AutoCAD & Inventor;
