Senior Project Development Manager (BESS)

ersg are working with a leading investor in Renewable Energy assets to hire a BESS-focused Engineer. This role will see the successful candidate join a market-leader to ensure the delivery of their growing BESS portfolio.Key responsibilities include;Being the lead person on technical developments in the Battery industry - supporting internal and external stakholders with technical comprehension of BESS.Identification and selection of BESS, PCS and EMS providers.Support colleagues through acquisition, JVs and project development stages from a technical perspective.Ensure FAT/SATs are completed.Ensuring delivery of projects in accordance with grid compliance.Candidates should have a strong background within BESS (upwards of three years), additionally any training with inverter manufacturers are a bonus.ersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants. ersg is searching for a Solar/BESS-focused Project Development Manager to join a global investor/developer of Renewable Energy assets. The client is well-capitalised, and are placing a strong focus on building their pipeline from greenfield opportunities to operational assets.This role will see the successful candidate responsible for;Overseeing the full project development lifecycle.Identifying suitable sites, conducting feasibility studies, and securing land leases.Working with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with local authority permitting processes, and grid connectivity processes.Utilising their relationships with landowners and local partners to ensure smooth progression through the pipeline.Identifying project budgets, and ensuring delivery of assets to a profitable status.There is a particular need from the client for a candidate with a strong understanding of the planning process for Utility-Scale Solar & BESS projects.This is an excellent opportunity to join a team, which offers hybrid working (3 days per week) in their London offices, they also offer competitive salaries, a good bonus structure and excellent pension contributions.ersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants.
