A leading gaishikei data center developer is urgently looking for an MEP Design Manager to support the development cycle of multiple Data Centers across Japan.
Role and Resposibilities:
- Lead the design efforts for major global cloud technology companies.
- Drive engineering solutions for sustainability and cutting-edge technologies.
- Contribute to the development of hyperscale data center campuses in Japan and beyond.
- Lead project design teams across the entire lifecycle.
- Interface with top cloud and enterprise clients, effectively presenting design aspects.
- Develop master planning, space planning, and engineering solutions for potential developments.
- Produce Basis-Of-Design documents and consultant briefs.
- Oversee technical aspects of procured equipment, ensuring coordination with the design team.
- Understand the commercial implications of engineering decisions and create cost models.
- Provide technical assistance in the site selection process, engaging with service providers and local authorities.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of MEP design experience in large scale facilities.
- Fluent in English and Japanese (N2 level).
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant experience.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Project lifecycle experience in the Japanese construction industry.
- 3＋ years of MEP design experience in the data center industry.
