A top wind developer is looking for a talented HSE manager with a background in construction based HSE to oversee the construction of multiple windfarms across Japan. You will beresponsible for ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) plans during the project construction phase and handover to he O&M phase.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct HSE inspections.
- Ensure that approved risk assessments are in place before work begins onsite..
- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation for review.
- Collaborate in defining corrective actions and monitor their execution.
- Supervise tasks according to the Health and Safety (H&S) plan.
- Participate in accident investigations.
- Manage EHS documentation for companies, workers, and machinery.
- Support the management of Emergency Response Plans.
- Organize site inductions and toolbox talks.
- Attend HSE meetings with clients/customers on-site.
Requirements:
- Experience in site construction and familiarity with construction regulations, preferably in the wind energy sector.
- Full working proficiency in Japanese and English
- Valid Driver's license for Japan.
- Willlingness to visit wind sites across Japan.
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Relevant HSE qualifications for Japan (安全管理者等）
- Understanding of western HSE practices and relevant qualifcations （NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISOs）
- Previous site managment experience in the construction industry （現場監督の経験）
