Project Engineering Manager
BASIC FUNCTION:
Directs and manages the engineering during FEED/EPC Multi disciplines Projects in a manner that achieves project technical requirements within the cost and schedule targets. Reporting to Engineering Director and Project Managers.
TASKS & DUTIES:
Lead multi discipline engineering group during Projects. Planning, directing and coordinating multi discipline project eng works
During bid submissions: Prepare technical part of it including bid overall strategies, estimations, participate in bid clarifications and presentations.
Ensure compliance with objectives, requirements, priorities, policies, procedures, standards, rules, regulations and guidelines provided by company from time to time.
Ensure that technical reviews are carried out in a timely and complete manner.
Ensure that cost effective solutions in engineering design are adopted while maintaining quality, constructability, operability and maintainability.
Interfacing with the overall Dragados Offshore organization, Clients and other parties
Manage and direct his team in resolving the interface issues.
Management of the design changes and variations to the work
Participate in QA/QC reviews.
Provide technical support for Mechanical Completion, Commissioning and start up activities.
Ensure that project is technically sound and optimally designed, engineered to appropriate standards and specifications, meeting required product specification and meeting HSE requirements.
Leading the engineering group to review and approve datasheets, drawings, engineering reports and studies.
Ensure all design aspects are as per the company's specification.
Make sure that all engineering issues are followed up and resolved in time.
Participate in the technical bid evaluations.
Supports Project Manager in preparing Input Statement and defining outputs
Facilitates information flow between disciplines and ensure appropriate communication takes place in a timely fashion
Review specifications for subcontract works
Assists Discipline Leads in resolving problems and technical queries
Ensures consistent application of standards
Review the award recommendation of the purchase orders.
Responsible of project eng subcontracts where applied
Acting as focal point for all eng resources deployed on the project
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent degree from an accredited engineering university.
15-20 years of relevant experience in the O&G/Energy industry.
Experience on international large-scale oil/gas capital projects.
Demonstrated experience managing engineering activities
Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment.
Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding skills.
Work effectively with peers in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Good command of written and spoken English, strong oral communication skills. Spanish knowledge welcome.
Experience across all project phases including concept development, FEED and project execution is desirable

Proven experience in the management of engineering projects for oil and gas industry in the upstream sector
