Maritime Labour Convention

ersg acquired its Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) compliance certificate to ensure all workers deemed as seafarers are fairly and appropriately treated whilst working on a Vessel. The International Labour Organisation convention was established in 2006 as the fourth pillar of international maritime law. MLC embodies all up-to-date standards of existing international maritime labour Conventions and Recommendations, as well as the fundamental principles to be found in other international labour Conventions.

In accordance with the Maritime Labour Convention 2006 we are committed to not placing seafarers under the age of 16, not requesting seafarers to pay fees or other charges for their potential recruitment or placement, not holding a list of seafarers that would prohibit them from finding employment.
