A leading data center developer is looking for a dedicated Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to join their HSE team. The Health, Safety & Environment Advisor will work with various stakeholders to develop, implement, maintain, and improve health, safety, and environmental management across operational and construction sites in Japan.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the global HSE team to develop and implement HSE standards and practices in Japan.
- Maintain and enhance HSE management systems across operational and construction sites.
- Provide governance, guidance, and advice to stakeholders on HSE matters.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with international HSE standards and legislation.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees.
- Engage with clients, providing HSE support both on-site and off-site.
- Travel between Data Center sites in Japan as needed to oversee HSE activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of HSE legislation and international standards.
- Experience auditing against international HSE standards.
- Strong attention to detail in managing HSE documentation and processes.
- Proficiency in developing and delivering HSE training programs.
- Fluent Japanese and Intermediate level English.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in HSE roles within data centre or similar environments.
- Experience working with global teams and in multicultural environments.
