Cloud DevOps Engineer

The Role
Cloud engineer will be responsible for -
* Working with other project roles including architects and developers to ensure optimal cloud designs are created and ensuring appropriate levels of security, availability and disaster recovery are in place
* Developing code for cloud infrastructure deployment and cloud application configuration management
* Monitor and optimize cloud operation costs for owned resources
* Use Cloud Toolchain to deploy existing resource patterns into Azure subscriptions using IaC pipelines
* Create patterns for new resource types using Cloud Toolchain both for individual resources and for modules representing a group of resources
* Ensure policies and network rules are correctly configured to enable secure communications between components
* Troubleshooting and resolving any issues arising in initial deployments

Experience required -
* Good knowledge of cloud-based architectures including components such as Azure Functions, Service Bus, ADF, Key Vault and APIM
* Understanding of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and of cloud networking
* Proven experience of developing code for infrastructure deployment of both PaaS resources and IaaS (experience of Unix/Linux scripting and Windows PowerShell coding desirable)
* Proven skills using infrastructure as code tools, in particular Terraform to build and change cloud resources and GitHub or Azure DevOps for code version control and pipeline integration
* Experience using toolchains to automate provision and configuration of cloud resources across the lifecycle
* Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross functional teams in Agile projects
