- The Supplier & Production Quality Manager is a support function aimed at ensuring a monitoring evalutation and qualification of suppliers in database and ensure that they delivers products or services that is fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements.
- The Supplier & Production Quality Manager is in charge to secure compliance to appropriate supplier quality internal standards.
- Supplier quality manager is responsible for procdures related to supplier quality.
- Monitor defined KPIs in supplier quality management.
- Ensure a efficient suppliey quality management approach aligned with SLS strategy.
- Initiate, coordinate, execute and follow-up activities related to suppliers' quality performance.
Evaluation Process of Suppliers
- Evaluate, qualify and follow-up performance of suppliers according to SLS established process.
- Maintain Approved Vendor list (AVL)
Supplier Audit Program (including quality reviews)
- Estabish Supplier Audit Program in accordance with internal requirements
- Execute Supplier Audits
- Execute supplier quality reviews and other assessments
Supplier Non-conformance
- Manage the Supplier Non-Conformance process
- Assist SLS organisation in follow up of supplier quality nonconformities.
- Monitor and follow-up status of non conformance
Supplier Development and continuous improvement
- Participate in supplier development programs
- Monitor supplier performance.
- Ensure supplier quality accordance with governing documents
- Reduce handling time for supplier nonconformity
- Improve suppliers to deliver according to quality expectation.
- Improved supplier quality assurance
Position sizing
- Manages approximately 30-40 supplier audits yearly.
- Manages approximately 400 supplier non-conformances yearly.
- Liaises with QHSE, Purchasing and Engineering in order to execute the tasks within the position's responsibility
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
Required skills and qualifications
Necessary competence
- Quality Auditor Certificate
- Quality System Manager Certificate
- Fluent in English and Norwegian language - verbal and written
Important competence
- Experience in audits, 8D etc
- Team and project work in Nexans
- Project Management and methods
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
Education and work experience
- Relevant Bachelor / Master Degree or equivalent
- Min 5 years experience as QA-, HSE- and/or risk manager from manufacturing, installation or offshore business
