A local wind energy company is seeking a skilled leader to supervise the engineering design team and drive product development for their vertical axis type wind turbines. They are seeking a visionary engineer to bring fresh ideas to the table and lead the team to create something truly groundbreaking.

  • Spearhead the development of innovative technological strategies.
  • Identify emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability.
  • Integrate new technologies into existing frameworks.
  • Lead and mentor a team of development engineers.
  • Co-create solutions and drive technical advancements.
  • Act as a key liaison between the organization and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts and resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in designing large machinery, especially rotating mechanisms.
  • Practical experience in design and analysis using CAD.
  • Electrical control design.
  • Experience in management within the RD department of a machinery/electrical equipment manufacturer.

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge of wind generator related standards
  • Practical experience in design, testing, evaluation, etc. of machinery/industrial equipment that involves strong electricity (e.g. plant equipment, production equipment lines, transport equipment)
  • Knowledge of structural design such as drive mechanism, heat, fluid, measurement, mechanical safety, etc.
  • People who have design work experience in projects from specification review to mechanism/casing design, prototyping, evaluation, and mass production launch.
  • Person who holds a professional engineer qualification
