A local wind developer is currently seeking a seasoned civil design engineer with previous experience of working on power plant design and installation. You will have the opportunity to be hands-on and dynamically involved in offshore wind power projects, within a top wind developer and will have the opportunity to drastically impact the design team.
Role and responsibilties:
- Responsible for driving projects in offshore wind power generation development as a civil design engineer.
- Designing wind farms, cost estimation, civil due diligence, and providing support from planning and development to construction stages.
- Explaining and coordinating with stakeholders such as EPC companies and manufacturers.
- Gaining experience as a project manager while engaging in the aforementioned tasks.
- Handling one project comprehensively, including comparing, evaluating, and procuring EPC contractors for wind farm construction from both commercial and technical perspectives.
- Conducting meetings with various manufacturers and contractors, and arranging procurement, among other broad tasks.
Essential Experience Required:
- Ground investigation and assessment
- Experience as an engineer in designing steel structures or similar structures
- Planning capability for civil/ marine structures
- Construction planning capability for power plants/plants
- Basic English proficiency
Desired Experience:
- Experience in offshore development and port-related projects
- Experience in the upstream of projects (planning, ordering, comparing and selecting contractors
