The role
The company is seeking a new Web Developer to join an established team to rebuild a number of in-house applications. The project will be migrating from the Grails framework to a user interface in React/Next.js, with a Node/Express.js backend.
We are looking for someone to help build the framework, improve the user experience and revamp the "look and feel" of our intranet sites.
Responsibilities
* Working as part of the company's multi skilled Web Development team to rebuild all onsite web applications using a new modern framework compliant with Company procedures.
* Ensure development of updated documentation.
* Contribute to the Development of Test plans and UAT.
* Setup/Documentation of SQL Databases to support Web Development.
Skills
* Demonstrate in depth knowledge and experience of Web Application Security Best Practices, for the secure development of web applications.
* Experience of integration issues and Single Sign on authentication.
* Deep knowledge of the following:
o JavaScript o HTML and CSS
o React.js
o Next.js
o Express.js
o API design and implementation
* Working experience of the following:
o React.js Styled-Components
o React.js Context API / Redux
o SQL databases o Software source control, preferably Git
* Creative and highly motivated.
* Independent and proactive, with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability and experience to develop web based, intranet solutions.
* Working experience of software development tools and practices (Agile).
* Ability to actively support the customer in all aspects of product development.
* Strong ability to collect data and understand business requirements.
