A local wind developer is currently seeking a seasoned electrical engineer with previous experience of working on power plant design and installation. You will have the opportunity to be hands-on and dynamically involved in offshore wind power projects, within a top wind developer and will have the opportunity to drastically impact the electrical work on the project.
Role and Responsibilties
- Involvement in the design and installation management of transmission and distribution systems related to offshore wind power generation.
- Responsibilities as a project engineer in the offshore wind power project team, focusing on advancing technical tasks.
- Anticipation of assignments to multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaboration with transmission and distribution manufacturers and partner companies to design and supervise transmission and distribution systems.
- Opportunity to gain experience as a project manager while engaging in the above tasks.
- Expectation to oversee a single project comprehensively, including:
- Comparing, examining, and evaluating the feasibility of EPC contractors for wind power plant construction from both commercial and technical perspectives.
- Considering procurement aspects.
- Conducting meetings with various manufacturers and contractors.
- Handling procurement arrangements.
Required Skillset/Experience
- Previous experience of high-voltage transmission, distribution, and cable design
- Experience in foundation engineering for power plants, plants, or marine structures
- Business level Japanese and Basic level English proficiency
Preferred Skillset
- Previous experience in electrical engineering for offshore development and port-related projects
- Previous experience in upstream project processes (planning, contracting, comparing and considering subcontractors)
- Experience with electrical engineering for ultra-high-voltage power plants (6600V and above)
- Holds relevant electrical engineering qualifcations (電気施工管理、電気主任技術者、電気工事士)
