A leading global organization in the renewable energy sector is seeking a highly skilled Lead Technical Bid Engineer to join their Technical Sales Management department.

The Onshore Lead Technical Bid Engineer within the Technical Sales Management team plays a crucial role by representing technical solutions and supporting the sales deal team during the bidding phase, as well as the project execution team after contract award.



Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical lead for wind turbine solutions.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding wind turbine products during both the bidding and project execution stages.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders, including customer engineers, BOP contractors, utility engineers, and regional administrators, regarding engineering aspects.
  • Oversee technical aspects of wind turbine product certification, ensuring alignment with METI certification, CLASS NK, third parties, and Grid Utilities.
  • Support the project execution team by delivering technical solutions and working closely with project management, internal engineering resources, and on-site teams for installation and commissioning.
  • Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and project success.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Engineering background, preferably in Electrical Engineering, but Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or similar disciplines are also acceptable.
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese, spoken and written.
  • Prior experience in directing technical negotiations, ideally with heavy machinery, power plant equipment, or similar.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other technical bid management colleagues, internal and external stakeholders to ensure that project milestones are met.
  • Holistic understanding of commercial and legal aspects of technical solutions.

  • Experience in the wind energy or industrial plant environment.
  • Commercial insight and interest to complement technical expertise.
