To enable analysis requirements and design documentation and to ensure the application or change being delivered is fit for purpose and has no detrimental effect on existing business processes. To test defects, minor works, projects and quick fixes. To support the business when executing user testing.
Skills / Experience
Be competent in the use of the technical toolset
Proficient use of MS Word and Excel
Ability to use Azure DevOps
Have the ability to guide junior colleagues and report accurately to management
Have good interpersonal skills at all levels
Embracing and actively demonstrating/promoting company values and initiatives in a participating role
Display a willingness to guide, help develop, and set personal and professional standards for more junior colleagues
Have good organisational and planning skills
Demonstrate the ability to review and critique current processes and recommend innovative solutions to problems
Key Accountabilities
Taking ownership of minor works and quick fixes, progressing them to successful completion
Share knowledge and experience with other members of the team
Manage the testing lifecycle within the the multi-disciplinary team ensuring it remains compliant against the test strategy
Produce basic estimates for minor pieces of work
Defining data and environment requirements
Producing and executing tests, reporting on progress as required
Managing the defect lifecycle for minor works
Ensuring targets are met and quality standards adhered to
Developing and encouraging teamwork across multiple functions
Support business/end users in their testing
Experience
Relevant Professional Qualification and/or Undergraduate Degree
Display a good understanding of testing best practice and the development lifecycle with good experience of applying this knowledge in a testing capacity
Experience in testing web applications
