We're currently supporting a well-established engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Civil Technician to join their growing civil infrastructure team.This is a senior technical role with real responsibility, offering the chance to lead civil design delivery across a range of complex projects while mentoring junior staff and working closely with engineers and project managers.The RoleAs a Senior Civil Technician, you'll take a lead role in the production and coordination of detailed civil engineering designs, primarily using Autodesk Civil 3D. Lead QS / Commercial Lead required for our client, a global project management consultancy, who is supporting the delivery of a large-scale Multi-billion Euro (€) data centre construction project in Charleroi, BelgiumThe role will take ownership of all the commercial and cost management of major construction packages, acting as a senior client-facing lead. Responsibilities include cost planning, estimating, procurement support, QTOs, as well as leading and mentoring a project cost team.Candidates must have extensive experience in quantity surveying or cost management on large, complex construction projects, ideally within data centres, life sciences, or similar technically demanding projects. A consultancy or client-side background is preferred, along with strong stakeholder management and leadership capability.This is a site-based role, 5 days per week in Belgium.
