Senior / Principal Highways Civil Engineer Initial 6-month contractOutside IR35Mainly remote working About the RoleWe are seeking a number of skilled and motivated Highways Civil Engineers to join our clients infrastructure team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of major highways projects, with a particular emphasis on schemes for National Highways.Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake detailed design of highways and associated infrastructure in accordance with DMRB and MCHW specifications.Manage and contribute to the development of feasibility studies, detailed design packages, and technical reports for National Highways schemes.Support project delivery through all RIBA stages, from concept to construction.Prepare drawings, specifications, and contract documents using CAD (AutoCAD/Civil 3D) and other industry-standard software.Lead or support liaison with National Highways, local authorities, statutory bodies, and other key stakeholders.Ensure project documentation complies with CDM 2015 and other relevant UK legislation.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.Monitor project budgets, programme schedules, and quality performance.Essential RequirementsBEng or MEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (CEng/IEng), or working towards this with a relevant professional institution (ICE or CIHT).Minimum 6 years' experience in the design and delivery of highways projects, with direct experience working on National Highways projects.Strong knowledge of DMRB, MCHW, CDM Regulations, and National Highways standards and procedures.Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX Road, and drainage design packages (e.g., MicroDrainage).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Desirable SkillsExperience with ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) and Design and Build contracts.Understanding of Road Safety Audits and Traffic Modelling inputs.BIM Level 2 compliance experience.Familiarity with project management tools and reporting.ersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants. Project Manager required to work on x2 BESS (Battery Energy Storage) projects based near Brussels, Belgium. One project is based near Antwerp, the other project is based near Charleroi. Suitable candidates will have large-scale battery energy storage (BESS) project management experience. Candidates will have experience managing projects & project teams from land acquisition till O&M. Project managers with a civil and/or electrical background is desirable. Fluency in either Dutch / French / Flemish with English is essential. This is a hybrid position with 1 day per site (x2 site visits per week), 2 days spent working remotely (home based) and 1 day spent in their head office in Brussels. Primary Design Engineer - HV SubstationsOverview:Lead the design delivery for high-voltage (up to 400kV) substation projects, ensuring alignment with National Grid requirements and industry standards. ersg is searching for a PV/Solar Commissioning Manager on behalf of a multinational Solar EPC client. Our client, boasts an extensive pipeline of utility-scale Solar projects that require commissioning across Europe. Successful candidates will be responsible for commissioning projects above 50MW each project.This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Three years or more of commissioning large utility-scale (>50MW) solar projects. Ideally, experience of working across multiple European countries, and demonstrable understanding of working to FIDIC frameworks.Applicants should be used to managing people, and multiple projects concurrently.
