We are working with a Global EPC for large scale BESS projects occurring at the start of the 2026 year around the Manchester Area. We have a requirement for full project site teams ranging from Project Managers, Site Managers, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical supervisors and Project Engineers.

The Project Engineer will play a central role in supporting the successful execution of BESS projects from early construction through commissioning. This position bridges the gap between site operations, engineering design, and project management - ensuring that all technical, quality, and documentation requirements are met throughout the delivery process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical coordination between design, procurement, and site delivery teams.

  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and supplier documentation to ensure constructability and compliance.

  • Support planning and scheduling activities, tracking progress against key project milestones.

  • Manage technical documentation, RFIs, and change control processes.

  • Assist with QA/QC inspections, and commissioning preparation.

  • Ensure HSE and quality requirements are embedded across all project phases.

  • Contribute to project reporting, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal Background:

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Energy Engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • 2-5 years' experience working on renewable energy, BESS, or power infrastructure projects.

  • Strong understanding of project delivery processes and construction interfaces.

  • Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to work site-based in the UK
