Solar Site Manager - Emilia-Romagna, Italy | €300/day | Freelance

We're looking for an experienced Solar Site Manager to take full responsibility for day-to-day operations on a major utility-scale solar project in Emilia-Romagna. This role is hands-on, site-based, and focused on ensuring that construction activities run safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications and schedules. Fluency in both English and Italian is essential. Start ASAP.

What You'll Be Doing:

Managing daily site activities and ensuring work progresses according to the construction plan
Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site teams to maintain smooth workflow
Enforcing HSE standards and ensuring the site meets all compliance and safety requirements
Monitoring construction quality, identifying issues early, and implementing corrective actions
Conducting site inspections, toolbox talks, and daily briefings
Tracking progress, maintaining site logs, and providing clear, accurate reporting to project stakeholders
Managing site documentation, permits, and compliance records
Supporting testing, commissioning, and site readiness activities

What You Need:

Proven experience as a Site Manager on utility-scale solar (PV) projects
Strong understanding of construction methods, site coordination, and safety procedures
Ability to lead teams, solve problems quickly, and maintain a productive and safe site environment
Fluent in English and Italian
Availability for an immediate start

We are seeking a Skilled Operative with specific experience in Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) installation, particularly in the installation and handling of LV cables. Our client is looking for a Project Engineer to monitor subcontractors work standards during the Balance of Plant works on a large scale BESS Facility near Chemnitz, Germany.The Ideal candidate would have extensive experience in the Power sector with specific understanding of Civil works, EPC Site experience and HV connections. German Language skills are required as well as english speaking proficiency. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee EPC and subcontractor works to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and VDE/DIN standards.Monitor site progress, quality, and HSE performance; maintain daily reports and issue NCRs where required.Coordinate interfaces between civil, electrical, battery OEM, PCS, and grid connection teams.Support commissioning, FAT/SAT witnessing, energisation, and performance testing.Review technical documents, method statements, and as-built drawings.Manage site communication with EPC, OEMs, grid operator, and client project manager.Identify risks, delays, and variations; support contractual compliance and handover documentation.
