We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Supervisor to support additional capacity on a major infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising civil works on site, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

This is a site-based role working on a National Grid environment, requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and strict adherence to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day civil works on site

  • Ensure works are delivered in line with project specifications, programmes, and method statements

  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times

  • Act as a competent person on site in accordance with National Grid requirements

  • Oversee earthworks, drainage, and ducting activities

  • Manage subcontractors and site operatives effectively

  • Carry out site briefings, toolbox talks, and safety inspections

  • Liaise with project management and other disciplines to ensure smooth delivery of works

  • Report progress, issues, and incidents accurately


Essential Requirements

Candidates must hold the following certifications:

  • SR163 Accreditation

  • National Grid Competent Person (NSI 8 - Full)

  • SSSTS

  • HSG47 (2-day)

  • Temporary Works Supervisor

  • Full First Aid (3-day)

  • Lift Supervisor or Slinger/Signaller
