ersg are working with a leading investor in Renewable Energy assets to hire a BESS-focused Engineer. This role will see the successful candidate join a market-leader to ensure the delivery of their growing BESS portfolio.Key responsibilities include;Being the lead person on technical developments in the Battery industry - supporting internal and external stakholders with technical comprehension of BESS.Identification and selection of BESS, PCS and EMS providers.Support colleagues through acquisition, JVs and project development stages from a technical perspective.Ensure FAT/SATs are completed.Ensuring delivery of projects in accordance with grid compliance.Candidates should have a strong background within BESS (upwards of three years), additionally any training with inverter manufacturers are a bonus. What will you be doing?As a Project Engineer, you'll support the successful delivery of substation projects, ensuring all engineering activities are completed safely, accurately, and to the highest standards.With hands-on experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with project managers, site teams, and external stakeholders, you will:Oversee site supervisors, craft teams, and subcontractors on a daily basisCommunicate regularly with client site representatives and attend progress meetingsMonitor and manage project costsPrepare method statements, work instructions, and risk assessmentsProvide information for contract status reports and other client deliverablesMaintain accurate project records to support claims and commercial reportingPlan and coordinate labour, plant, and materials for substation worksLiaise with procurement to ensure timely availability of equipment and materialsEnsure compliance with relevant standards and company proceduresManage health and safety across site teams and subcontractorsWhat you'll bring:Knowledge of Construction and Health & Safety regulationsSite supervision experience on high-voltage substation projects (132kV and above preferred)Experience managing technical aspects of substation construction, installation, and commissioningElectrical BackgroundFamiliarity with civil and electrical worksExperience managing subcontractors and recording measurementsersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants. ersg are supporting a client in their search for a Solar O&M Technician to service a portfolio of sites including Commercial & Industrial properties, and utility-scale solar farms (up to 5MW). The role will see you covering Norwich and the surrounding area.Applicants should have experience of fault-finding and servicing inverters, SCADA, and MODBUS (TCP/IP). The need to interrogate comms issues is critical in this role.
