Role Overview
Lead procurement strategies for high-voltage electrical equipment and subsea cable systems that connect offshore wind turbines to the onshore grid.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category and contract strategies for electrical systems (e.g., 66kV subsea cables, switchgear, transformers).
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate MSAs and frame agreements.
- Lead tendering, evaluation, and contracting processes for electrical components.
- Act as the main link between internal teams (Development, Engineering, Construction) and suppliers.
- Drive cost-effective procurement solutions aligned with project needs and market trends.
- Resolve complex supplier disputes and contract issues.
- Build strong relationships with major equipment manufacturers and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Profile
- 3+ years of procurement experience in renewable energy, power generation, or transmission (offshore wind preferred).
- Proven experience negotiating contracts for high-voltage equipment or subsea cables.
- Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills.
- Proactive problem-solver with risk management experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
- Logistics and supply chain knowledge is a plus.
- English proficiency required; Japanese fluency is an advantage.
