Commercial Lead

We're currently supporting a well-established engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Civil Technician to join their growing civil infrastructure team.This is a senior technical role with real responsibility, offering the chance to lead civil design delivery across a range of complex projects while mentoring junior staff and working closely with engineers and project managers.The RoleAs a Senior Civil Technician, you'll take a lead role in the production and coordination of detailed civil engineering designs, primarily using Autodesk Civil 3D. Projects typically include site development, roads, drainage, stormwater management, and water & sewer utilities, including pressurised systems for mission-critical facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and produce high-quality civil designs and drawings in Civil 3DDevelop 3D models, grading designs, and earthworks calculationsCoordinate closely with engineers to deliver plans, profiles, and sectionsCarry out design QA/QC and ensure compliance with standards and regulationsManage drawing packages, revisions, and project documentationReview volume calculations for excavation and site gradingMentor and support junior techniciansContribute to project delivery within agreed scope, budget, and programmeAbout YouDegree / HND / foundation degree in drafting or a related discipline7+ years' experience in civil engineering designAdvanced Civil 3D experience (Navisworks, MS Office essential; Revit, MicroStation or GIS beneficial)Strong understanding of civil design principles, calculations, and standardsConfident working in a multi-disciplinary project environment ersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants.
