Track Design EngineerOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Track Design Engineer to support the delivery of railway infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality track designs from concept through detailed design stages, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver track design packages at both Form A (Approval in Principle) and Form B (Detailed Design) stages.Produce all associated design deliverables including:Track alignment designsDesign reportsTechnical calculationsDrawings and CAD outputsDesign assurance documentationConstruction and installation support documentationDevelop compliant track layouts, alignments, and geometry in accordance with Network Rail standards and client requirements.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Civil, Signalling, Electrification, and Geotechnical disciplines.Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and assurance processes.Support the resolution of technical queries throughout the project lifecycle.Ensure all designs are delivered safely, accurately, and to programme.Essential RequirementsDemonstrable experience delivering railway track design projects at both Form A and Form B stages.Proven ability to produce and manage all associated design documentation, reports, drawings, calculations, and technical deliverables.Strong understanding of Network Rail standards, design processes, and assurance requirements.Experience using BRT (Bentley Rail Track) and/or PRT track design software.Ability to work independently whilst managing multiple project priorities.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. ersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants. Consents & Environment Manager Description: To work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team to deliver Nationally significant electricity infrastructure projects. The projects will be at different stages of development from feasibility to achieving development consents (Town & Country Planning Act, Electricity Act and other environmental consents), and in some cases supporting our delivery teams through construction. The following are key activities that would be undertaken: Lead on and coordinate project optioneering and environmental studies to ensure all environmental and consenting risks are understood and incorporated into the development and refinement of project designs. Manage external consultants to deliver proportionate and robust Environmental Impact Assessments and supporting documentation to submit consent applications.Develop, control and build mutually beneficial external stakeholder relationships (consenting bodies, statutory authorities and key consultees)Negotiate challenging consent conditions with statutory authorities and submitting robust supporting information. The Consultant would ideally have: A working knowledge of the Scottish planning process, relevant consenting regimes and Environmental Impact Assessment legislation. Demonstrable Project Management skills and experience of how to manage the delivery of consenting and environmental compliance for major projects (e.g., project definition and set up, procurement and management of consultants, cost management, project risk, quality assurance and programme management). Environmental or Planning related degree with experience in a relevant industry (e.g., infrastructure, environmental / planning/ statutory body/ consultancy dealing with major consenting projects). ersg are supporting a client in their search for an Electrician to install Solar Panels and BESS across Commercial & Industrial properties. Training & Development on offer. The role will see you covering Norwich and the surrounding area.Our client is open to hiring electricians with limited solar experience, as long as you are comfortable with three-phase power, and have experience in installing metal conduit, trunking and doing tray work, in addition to containment.
