Civil Engineer- German Speaking

🚀 We're Hiring: Civil Engineer (HVDC Projects - BalWin5) | Based in Berlin

For the planning and construction of a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission facility near Bremen, we are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to support the BalWin5 project, focusing on the permitting design phase (HOAI Service Phase 4) and the detailed design phase (HOAI Service Phase 5).

📍 Location: Berlin (project site near Bremen)
📅 Start: ASAP
⏳ Duration: Full-time until 31.12.2026 (extension or permanent hiring possible)

🔧 Your Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the permitting and detailed design phases
• Act as the key interface between the civil design planner (subcontractor), the end customer, and authorities
• Manage input data, technical interfaces, and communication flows
• Ensure alignment with project stakeholders and smooth collaboration
• Support the engineering/design office in meeting contractual deadlines and delivering high-quality results

🤝 Your Role
You will serve as the main point of contact for all civil design coordination topics, ensuring seamless integration across all involved parties.

🎯 Your Profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering
• Experience in HVDC systems, STATCOM, or substation switchgear installations is highly desirable
• Alternatively, experience in industrial construction projects
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
• Fluent in English and good German skills (required for communication with customers and authorities)
• Structured, proactive, and quality-oriented working style
